Plus each time you go into a new sector or jump into a new place stop in check the nearest base this saves it to that point you wont have to run all over the universe to get back to that point. You can go and repair and continue the mission and finish with everything you have earned. secondary is only ones you have to aim, so let the distance blast the ships as you draw them off. And the plating of the hull, because it will all transfer with the ship as go along. So in begining shields and boosters and engines more so than the weapons. Because with all of them together they are a mress but the big ones fall fast alone, even if your a small ship alone. I usually draw out the ships and wein them off the mother-ship. So do put the Beam weapons and the missles and the weapons with inhibiting effects on both sides especially on the bigger and slower ships for max effect as you get swarmed by the smaller ones. So even as you go up you need to take into consideration maxing in just one way wont garantee a max win. so if they are equipped with the different types and effects then your in for a ride. TL DR: Korian Schizo IIs are ruining this game for me, anyone know a good way to deal with these?Ī mix of emp and the disabiling effects of the light ships have a greater effect on your ship. I'm to the point now that as soon as I see a Korian Schizo II, I leave and abandon the mission. I've experimented with a lot of different strategies/technologies to deal with these ships, and absolutely nothing works. (or at least resistant enough that a couple bursts don't disable them) And it takes concentrated fire of 7 mk 6 Mining Laser turrrets to take down 1 of these ships. Korian Schizo IIs appear to be resistant to EMP flak as well. (15k+38k+11k+3k=67k) 1 Korian Schizo II can do that much damage in 3 shots.Īnd that's not all. If you add up my hull + shield + shield regen + deflector, I can soak about 67000 damage in 2 seconds before taking damage to my ship. And keep in mind, that I mean insane here. They aren't firing any missiles, so Shieldbursters and Antimatter Probes aren't the cause of this insane spike of damage. There is no weapon in the game that even approaches that level of damage. Now, I know all about Viridian Lasers, but it would take 10+ simultaneous bursts from mk6 Viridian Lasers to drop my shields in under 2 seconds. On missions that require you to save friendly ships, just one of these fighters can destroy the friendly ships in seconds, before you even see it. This is insanely frustrating, especially when it is clearly not a fluke. On a mission rated as Low risk however, 1 Korian Schizo II mixed in with the other ships can destroy my shields and hull in 1 burst of fire (under 2 seconds). On a mission rated as Very High risk, I can warp in and destroy entire fleets while taking 0 damage. I'm flying a Minotaur completely covered in mk6 gear.
